Balandran et al. v. Balandran. Family Code §3102 held unconstitutional as applied in this case, applying the three-factor test set forth in Troxel v. Granville (2000) 530 U.S. 57
In re Ja.O.. County welfare departments must conduct an extended-family inquiry in all cases in which a child a placed in its temporary custody, regardless of how the child is removed from the home.
Atlas v. Davidyan. Terminating sanctions were an appropriate remedy under the Discovery Act’s purpose of incremental sanctions (monetary; issue / evidentiary; then terminating).
Ramirez v. McCormack. Trial court properly granted an Anti-SLAPP motion against opposing party who alleged causes of action against a lawyer based on that lawyer’s representation of the lawyer’s own client.
